The Bivouac Label has a specific agenda. The Label is an adjunct and vehicle for The I.C.E. Group Management Dept. All Artist releases are currently conditional to a management contract being in place between the Artist and Steve Hawkins of The I.C.E. Group. No exceptions. The Label does not have a house musical style, and is not burdened by any current fashion.

The purpose of this small label is to showcase and deliver to the Press, Radio and all other Media, quality recordings that will further the Artist's and the Management's long term aims. The Label is not competing with the big boys, and is certainly not trying to ape them. It is merely a means to an end, and we all hope to have a jolly good legal time of it on the way.

Both Artist and Management recognizes the need to be 'out there', but that the popular myth of 'demos', and aimless UK gig slogging to establish a 'wonder record deal', is a complete waste of everyone's time. The industry has changed and is even more cautious than ever. The competition is vast and resourceful.

This Label de facto is a very public A+R Dept. To be better Artist Managers, this seems to be the only way to speed up the otherwise laborious process of courting industry partners. We here are very frank! We expect the same!

The I.C.E. Group has it's own studio, small established venue on the UK circuit, and a wealth of experience going back 18 years.

The label will promote New Music, giving it's temporarily signed Artists a platform to eventually move on to larger and more established Record Labels. Each Artist deserves the right Label home, and this is not it, but a temporary platform only.

Current signings, My Deaf Audio, Colorpool and Rides The Bus, all have Management Deals with Steve Hawkins of The I.C.E. Group. A further three bands are currently in discussion with The I.C.E. Group and it's offshoot, Bivouac. Subject to the success of these negotiations, and their studio recordings, a release timetable (with the corresponding catalogue numbers) will be announced, and an Artist management strategy tailored to each band will be in place.

"Here's looking at you kid!"
