Something is stirring on
the southcoast. Born and raised in the cosmopolitan creative hub that is Brighton,
My Deaf Audio are about to add their own chapter to the rock and roll history
of their home town, with the release of the Are the New Black EP
via Bivouac records. Dedicating themselves to writing, recording and playing
live across the UK and Europe, My Deaf Audio make a defiant stand against the
pretentious whack metal that has diseased the UK underground scene almost to
fatality. Taking their cue from the Scandinavian rock and roll revolution, Are
the New Black showcases their manifesto to "go out, go play, get
paid, get laid". The Ep's four tracks exude individuality, style and punk
vitality. Check out Get Out, Right Now and Turn
Off the World. Blending 60's rock and soul, late 70's punk, classic Brit
Pop influences (such as the Cure and the Smiths) with a healthy dose of Weezer
and Nada Surf indie pop. Songs such as Were Convicted and
Communication highlight My Deaf Audios focused attitude and
song writing talent. Bursting with tight as girls trousers guitar riffs, crack
fire drums, raw, honest vocal melodies and infectious pop hooks My Deaf Audio
will keep you dancing till way into the morning.
