MY DEAF AUDIO - ARE THE NEW BLACK -

'Wooh!' and 'Yeah!' Brighton's My Deaf Audio squeal at regular intervals here
and it seems churlish to point out that we've heard it all before. They used
to be a straight-down-the-line punk band but at some point they saw the light
and dedicated themselves to the pursuit of the same holy grail of rock'n'roll
that about two million other bands, mostly from Sweden, are also searching for.
That means that with 'Get Out, Right Now' and 'Turn Off The World' we get vocals
which burst out of Andy Reed's larynx like they've got a fire to put out, guitars
which blaze brilliantly and drums which bounce and boom with an enthusiasm which
is utterly infectious. At times they sound ridiculously like The (International)
Noise Conspiracy but if anything they do this stuff better than the Swedes.
It's not new but when it's done this well you'd be a fool to turn it down.
