The I.C.E. Group Recording
Studio, located in Lincoln, is predominately used for in-house production work,
as well as, recording the artists signed to I.C.E. Group Management.
However, sessions can be
booked by the public and other third parties, dependent on the project, and
the availability of studio time.
Hourly rates do vary. This
is always dependent on the project in hand. Deals are available, just contact
us, and we will always try to accommodate you.
The Studio sessions can
range from recording vocals only, spoken word, voice overs, community project
recordings, mixing projects, mixing 'live' recordings taken from our 8 or 24
track Tascam DA78 based 'on-location' recording sessions, to full multitrack
studio recordings of band music.
On-Location recording set ups
are also available. We have recorded on-location, in the last four years, concerts
in various regional venues, choirs, handbell and other orchestras, school and
religious recording projects. We also produce multitrack recordings, specifically
commissioned by local groups, playing live at the Bivouac venue. If a local band
decides they would like a multitrack recording of their next gig at the Bivouac,
we require at least a weeks notice.

Studio multitrack recording
sessions - recording music to a professional standard:
The Studio has a particular approach to recording, which we find works best in
the long run.
- When recording music in the studio, we always use click tracks.
- We are Pro Tools based.
- We always record live 'guide only', or scratch tracks, with the click first.
- Thereafter, we do concentrate on each musician's part to build the finished
recording.
- Within reason, we would rather get the right 'take' than accept something
which falls short.
- We cannot offer the option of bands setting up and playing 'live' altogether
in a large room.
- We do assume, you have prepared in advance, and can communicate successfully
with each other.
- We do recognize that recording takes longer than most people think.
- We never mix a recording session the same day, or two, after recording it.
- If you are ill prepared for a recording session, we reserve the right to
cease the session immediately, and avoid you in any further pointless expenditure.
- If any of the above offends, don't record here.
